WA Podiatry has a special interest in the examination and treatment of pain in the feet and lower limbs.

Most leg and foot pain is caused by misalignment and poor posture of the legs and feet. This puts excessive strain on the joints, muscles and bones.

Orthotics gently support the feet and encourage the foot arches, knees and hips to function efficiently without undue stresses and strains.

Podiatrist prescribe custom made orthotics that are individually designed to take into account your foot movement, lifestyle and footwear. They are very accurate and highly effective.

Common problems treated with orthotics include; plantar fasciitis, heel spur pain, bunion pain, achilles tendonitis, knee pain, flat feet and pains to the balls of the feet.

Most foot problems are caused by feet that have an excessive inward roll (pronate). This causes the arches to flatten, the ankles to bulge inwards the foot to lengthen and the lower leg to rotate and bend inwards.
